Get Away Cabins in Colorado Springs

The ranch at emerald valley offers the most luxurious experience in the springs. The Ranch at Emerald Valley is operated by the Broadmoor who runs a 5-star hotel in the springs. If you have the money the ranch offers you a mostly secluded experience. The ranch is about 9 miles down old stage road which is a slightly rocky mountain road. Do not worry though, the Broadmoor provides a shuttle so no need to worry about having a 4WD vehicle. The dirt road brings you deep into Pikes National forest far away from civilization and cell service. I called them mostly secluded because you are far away from civilization, but there are a group of cabins around the little lake.

The ranch has 13 luxury cabins that range in size from one bedroom to three bedrooms. Combined, the cabins can accommodate up to 32 guests making it a mostly secluded experience. The layout for each cabin and lodge can be found on their website as well as the property map.

This getaway house is on 10 acres of land and is south of Colorado spring on the east side of the Front Range Mountains. It is easily accessible off of highway 115. This is secluded enough to be away from the city, but close enough to be within very easy reach of everything Colorado Springs has to offer.

There are plenty of amenities for this large house. The kitchen comes fully prepared with just about any appliance you need. The open layout allows for great mingling with your large group. The family room has a large projector for gatherings. 12 guests can be accommodated in four bedrooms with eight beds and three baths. This is honestly a great place for families and get togethers. The 10 acres, game room, and easy access to Colorado’s most popular attractions makes this a great place for a vacation.

The property does not allow parties or smoking, but it does have incredible amenities.

Colorado B&B has multiple locations throughout the Pikes Peak region. They have bed and breakfasts in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Cascade, and Woodland park. All locations have their perks. The Colorado Springs location is closer to town and the farthest is the Woodland Park location. Although it is in Woodland Park it is still a short drive into town. Manitou Springs and Cascade are on the way to Woodland Park from Colorado Springs, respectively. They offer a nice inbetween of being close to the Springs while offering the secluded cabin get away feeling.

Because they have a wide range of locations they have something for everyone! I love their Pikes Peak Paradise location. It offers a more modern feel with great views of Pikes Peak while being a couple miles outside of Woodland Park’s downtown. If you like the seclusion but want a more victorian feel then their Blue Skies Inn Cascade is perfect! There are also options for closer to town if that is more your style.

Most of the B&Bs offer a private bathroom, kitchen, full breakfast, and some even have hot tubs. Once again with the variety comes something for everyone! They are great for couple day stays, family vacations, couple’s getaways, or any other reason to come visit!

Right outside of Garden of the Gods is a place for camping, cabins, and RVs. When this close to the city you remove some of the secludedness, but the location makes up for it. You are walking distance to Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon Open Space as well as Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. Being right next to the red rocks and walking distance to cozy downtowns and neat shops makes the location great!

The cabins themselves have everything you need. They can sleep up to 6 people, have everything you need amenities wise, and range from modern looks to rustic looks.

Cozy, secluded log homes in Manitou Springs means you get the best of being secluded yet still being close to town. Because it is in Manitou you are still within a Mile of Garden of the Gods but are on private 9 acres of land. On the 9 acres there are two cabins. Staying at either gives you access to the onsite farm to help prepare your next meal!

At the base of Pikes Peak and Pikes National Forest is a 1 bedroom cabin that offers the best that Manitou has to offer. It is near Red Rock Canyon Open Space and a couple blocks from downtown Manitou Springs. In Manitou parking can be difficult, but they offer private parking so you don’t need to worry!

The small, one bedroom cottage makes it perfect for a couple’s get away. There are neighbors, but being by Ruxton Creek and being a little away from the road gives you that secluded cottage feel.

This cabin is nestled on a hill in Manitou Springs. The hill side cabin gives great views and is perfect for larger groups or family reunions. There are plenty of twin beds and multiple bathrooms. Like mentioned in the other write ups, Manitou Springs is the perfect location. It is beautiful, has a cozy downtown and is really close to Old Colorado City and Colorado Springs. The large cabin has multiple great living and sitting rooms for gatherings!

This modern cabin is one of my favorites. I like the modern feel while being out in a quite little area. This place is perfect for family vacations because the quite neighborhood and bunk beds for kids. The quite area in Manitou Springs near Garden of the Gods is a spot loved by locals and great for vacations.

The cottage has plenty of amenities that make the stay that much better. The outside grill, wooded landscape, place to do laundry, and the best part parking! Parking can be difficult to find in that area the more wooded environment means you will not have an issue.

Barr camp offers one of the most secluded cabins in Colorado Springs. There are not any roads to the cabin and everything must be packed in. The hike is about 6 miles up to just over 10,000 feet. The hike is super scenic with the most difficult being the first 2 miles. To get to the cabin you need to take Barr trail starting in Manitou springs up towards the summit of Pikes Peak. It’s primary use is a base camp for hiking Pikes Peak, but it can be rented out if you want a nature get away. Depending on what you pay for breakfast and dinner is included with your stay at Barr Camp.

These cottages are a different style compared to the rest of the places on this list. These cottages are adobe style but still offer everything that a small mountain town has to offer. Since they are in cascade you are right at the entrance to Pikes Peak and are nestled in Ute Pass. The single bed rooms make it perfect for a romantic getaway in the mountains and away from the city. The adobe in specializes in romantic getaways and even offers flower, massages, and special occasion cake packages.

Also in cascade are some tucked away cabins near the base of Pikes Peak. Each cabin is off in the woods and offers a private spot for a couple or small group. The Zeb’s cabin can host 2 to 8 people with wine available for an additional fee. You are still pretty close to downtown but get everything the out doors can offer, which is why I love this place! Also, each cabin has a hot tub which makes snowed in winter days even better.

Rocky Mountain Lodge is right next to the Adobe In and is right by the entrance to Pikes Peak. The lodge offers rooms and a suite that is a separate unit. They have everything that you would need for the perfect romantic getaway. The place makes for a great stay, but also has romance packages for couples! Their separate unit comes with a grill for anyone that wants to grill and a jacuzzi which makes it even better for a couples getaway. When planning a getaway at the lodge make sure to plan in advance. Their schedule books up months ahead of time during the summer season.

In Green Mountain Falls is a small collection of cottages. The cottages are cozy and tucked away from the springs along the mountains just past Cascade. The collection of 7 cottages make it a great place for anything from a couple of people to a family reunion. Their get-away package makes it great for couples while their multiple cottages makes it great for larger events. They include all the amenities you could ask for plus a grill and hot tub.

Eagle lodge is near downtown Woodland Park. The property offers 5 suites and a large venue area that can hold up to 120 people. This would be a great place for family reunions especially if your family has pets! Eagle Fire Lodge & Cabins is pet friendly in the cabins, but not the suites. Each suite has a bed and all the amenities you will need including a kitchen and living room area. Prices for the lodge are affordable starting at $99 for a standard room.

These cozy cottages in Manitou offers something great for small groups. Their cottages range from sleeping 2 to 6 people. The 40 guest availability, playground, volleyball/badminton, and basketball court make it a perfect place for families. Even though the location is close to the main road the cottages are off to the back and still give a secluded feel. Most of the time it is hard to tell you are by any roads. The location is super close to some major attractions. It is near Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Garden of the Gods, downtown Manitou, and downtown Old Colorado City. These are all attractions loved by locals with my favorite being Red Rock Canyon. It is a beautiful place for a walk or a jog with opportunities for rock climbing and mountain biking.

In Green Wood Falls is the Outlook Lodge. Originally built in 1889 this rustic, private getaway provides all the comforts needed to relax and take in nature. The area is surrounded by beautiful waterfalls, mountains, and Aspen trees. There are 11 rooms and 2 separate houses. The two person rooms are great for couples and have plenty of amenities. Full kitchens and a Fire pit/ outdoor grill are perfect for longer stays and staying in to eat. The location is also perfect for easy access into Pikes Peak, Eleven Mile, North Slope Rec Area, Garden of the Gods, and Red Rock Open Space. The Outlook Lodge is also in walking distance to Gazebo Lake!

For another truly secluded getaway there are glamping tents are 10,000feet high in Pikes National Forest. The secluded, one bed tent offers a great romantic getaway aswell! The getaway may offer a large tent with a bed and electricity, but make sure to bring the essentials! They do not provide water or any refrigeration. This is glamping after all.
